Our Last Day in England

Good Day Mates!! Look at me I'm speaking like the locals. HA! Well today was our last day in the Jolly 'ol England. We headed south to Canterbury to visit the BEAUTIFUL Canterbury Cathedral.

We were able to have a bit of free time in this quant little town. Tina and I did a little shopping. ( I gotta a couple of good vintage finds...SCORE!!) and had a great lunch. We had British Burgers.

Our next destination and our last in England........Dover Castle. Castle exploration was fun LOTS OF STAIRS

Now we are nice and cozy in our hotel room here in Dover. The best part....FREE WIFI, finally! This is the reason I have finally been able to upload all my pictures on Picasa. Tomorrow will be a day of traveling as we set forth to Paris. We have an early morning call so its mimi time for me.

Free Day!!!!!

Today is our day to roam the town on our own. We went to Abbey Road. It was not what we thought it would be. Turned out to be a game of "dodge the cars".

Yesterday we visited Buckingham Palace, among other things. We knocked but the Queen was not home.

We stated the day at Windor Castle. Queen was here enjoying the Easter Holiday.

We have been running nonstop everyday. Last night we finally had English food, Bangers and Potatoes. We also took a Jack the Ripper Tour. Very creepy!! At the end of the day we were able to take a load off and had a great time. We laughed the whole way back to our hotel on the train. We'll tell you that story later. LOL!!!!!!!

Now we will venture out into town

We Made It!!!!!!

And boy are we tired! All went well at the airport, our love ones sent us off with warming hugs and a'smooches. It is now 8:30pm here and I have not slept since I went to bed Friday night. Sleep on the plane was impossible with excited high school travelers.

We arrived and immediately hit the town on a walking tour of the center of London.

After a full day of siteseeing and posing for pictures we had our first British meal. Except it wasn't British at all, we had Turkish food and it was delicious. I did though have some tea with steamed milk YUM!!! I will upload all the rest of the pictures on Picasa.

I had to continue and complete this, this morning I was experiencing technical difficulties and and too tired to figure it out last night.

Today is a new day currently 7:30am, breakfast at 8:15. A coach tour of the town is what we are headed for today. So till tonight....GO DAY!

Tomorrows the BIG day!!!

So the day is finally here. Details have been put down on paper and I am now finally excited. This time tomorrow I will hopefully be asleep on an uncomfortable airplane on my way to London. Or shall I say trying to sleep. I spent the evening with the Manning's and they definitely sent me off feeling good. Its going to be a fantastic trip ( thank you ATTY, you are truly the BEST LADY). This evening is dedicated the most wonderful man in my life. He is the one that gave me the encouragement to partake in the opportunity of a life time. I love you babe!!

1 DAY TO GO!!!!!

AHHHHH!!!! I cant believe the day is almost here. In a little over a day I will be on a plane to Europe for the very first time ever. Am I ready you ask, Um ....NO! Only the minor details need to be done and that seems to me the most stressful, I don't want to miss anything. I want to make sure My Love is taken care of while I'm gone. I am leaving him to care for my apartment, my cat and my dog and most importantly my boy. Another obstacle that is getting in my way are the tingles in my throat. Im feeling a bit under the weather...GREAT. Im going to stay positive and get through the Friday. I am hoping the next time I am here I will be excited rather than freaked out. 2 Days to Go!

We leave in 2 days and I'm not quite ready. "Make a list" they tell me. I did.....now what did I do with all 20 of them. I still need a suitcase and I need to wash my clothes. Anyhow, I've decided to write this blog because this trip is a big deal to me. I've never really been outside of Southern California (which is a whole other story) and I want to make sure I remember this trip and want to share it with everyone. We leave for Europe, London and Paris, Saturday evening. My plan is to document what I can every evening after a day of touring and exploring. With many many pictures, I hope. I hope writing will help clear my head so I don't forget anything. Yay! Till tommorrow.....Good night!!
